Denise has been a massage therapist since 1987 and a massage therapy educator since 1992. She has trained in a variety of techniques such as; craniosacral, breast massage, positional release, osteopathic soft adjustments, joint manipulation, visceral release, neuromuscular therapy, sports massage, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue massage and fascial release. Denise also incorporates when appropriate rehabilitation for acute injury and chronic postural pain and dysfunction.
She has recently returned to Calgary after developing, directing and teaching a three-year Massage Therapy program at Medicine Hat College for the last 20 years. Denise is a member in good standing with the MTAA and a board member with the Canadian Massage Therapy Council for Accreditation and an advisor to the Canadian Council for Massage Therapy Schools.
Throughout her career Denise has been able to work with a variety of individuals with numerous concerns. She has had 2-week-old patients and 90-year young patients in a clinic, sports or in a hospital setting. Her focus is on pain management and correction due to stress, injury, postural problems or chronic pain conditions where she will use a variety of techniques to thoroughly address concerns.
